About the role
- Perform low-level design and implementation work that may include architecture analysis and design, system migration, and systems engineering.
- Responsible for the design and implementation of: Server virtualization & operations, Virtual networking, Scripting & automation, Storage & SAN, 3-tier & hyperconverged solutions, Disaster recovery, Backup & ransomware resiliency solutions.
- Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert on projects and workshops, overseeing the work of others and being accountable for the outcome of the project.
- Collaborate with sales teams in identifying and closing professional services opportunities through customer discovery and scoping meetings.
- Configuration and upgrade services within our customers’ and partners' environments.
- Participate in pre-sales conversations, design, and planning of service engagements.
- Stay up to date on top industry trends and offerings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of technical experience with increasing responsibility.
- 7+ years of experience working with infrastructure (blade chassis & servers, hypervisors, storage & storage fabrics, backup solutions, etc.).
- Thorough understanding of virtualization technologies & software-defined datacenter.
- Willingness to travel 20% to customer sites.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for equipment racking.
- Ability to design, build and implement equipment from the loading dock to production-ready.
- Consultative approach to deploying enterprise architecture.
