• Responsible for direct and timely communication between the Plan and Plan members, potential members, providers, employer groups, brokers, internal departments and external agencies.
• Maintains high level of knowledge regarding Plan products, premiums, benefits and procedures.
• Uses knowledge and judgment to select appropriate resources for assisting callers.
• Provides information on all aspects of Plan products, premiums, benefits, policies and procedures.
• Responsible for accurate problem-solving. Researches and resolves concerns.
• Documents all calls in the IDX Customer Service Module immediately.
• Verifies prescription drug eligibility, benefits, claims, and authorizations in PBM's MedAccess system.
• Adds and updates member information in the MedAccess system.
• Verifies enrollment, benefits premiums and other individual and group information in Salesforce.

Customer Care Representative I – Telecommuter

Counselor

• Work as a collaborative member of the oncology healthcare team to provide information and support to families affected with familial cancers.
• Identify families at risk, investigate disease present in the family, interpret and communicate information about the disorder, and analyze inheritance patterns and risks of recurrence.
• Provide supportive counseling to families, serve as a patient advocate and refer individuals to community and state supportive services.
• Serve as an educator and resource for other healthcare professionals and for the general public.
• Participate in research activities related to the field of medical and oncology genetics and genetic counseling.

Pharmacist

• Assist the pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical services
• Distribute medication to patients
• Greet personnel entering the pharmacy with a smile
• Accurately gather and document patient's name, demographics, insurance information
• Double check each completed prescription prior to bagging
• Refer patient medication concerns to a Registered Pharmacist
• Check 'will call' shelf weekly
• Call patients to notify medications are ready for pick up
• Follow Return to Stock guidelines for all medications
• File original prescription hard copies numerically
• Document all medications picked up or delivered
• Prepare prescriptions, refills, or balances for delivery or mail out
• Maintain appropriate levels of change in cash register
• Handle all cash, charge, delivery and payments appropriately
• Perform end of day duties such as register reconciliation
• Maintain adequate inventory of cash register and supplies
• Monitor and document refrigerator/freezer temperatures
• Maintain neat and organized work areas
