Billing Specialist

• Ensure all aspects of billing for telehealth mental health services, including correcting billing issues and resolving rejections, are done in a timely and accurate manner
• Verify patient insurance benefits, obtain necessary pre-authorizations, and ensure coverage for mental health services
• Review and process claims in compliance with HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance guidelines
• Reconcile patient accounts, process payments, and resolve discrepancies in billing and collections
• Track and follow up on unpaid claims, submit appeals for denied claims, and work with insurance providers to resolve any issues
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure accurate documentation and coding for behavioral health services
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of telehealth billing policies, CPT codes, and insurance regulations specific to mental health services
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients by addressing billing inquiries and resolving account issues
• Generate and analyze billing reports to ensure accurate financial records and compliance
• Support the development and implementation of billing best practices and process improvements

Billing Coordinator

• Drive high-volume recruitment of licensed therapists (LCSW, LMFT, LPC) and nurse practitioners for 1099 contractor positions
• Own your numbers - track, analyze, and report on recruitment metrics including pipeline conversion, time-to-hire, and source effectiveness
• Maintain candidate quality standards while hitting volume targets, ensuring all hires meet licensing and credentialing requirements
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to build robust candidate pipelines across multiple states
• Experiment with new recruitment channels - professional associations, social media, referral programs, industry events, and digital platforms
• Optimize conversion rates at each stage of the recruitment funnel through process improvements and candidate experience enhancements
• Build relationships with clinical communities to establish our company as the preferred platform for independent practitioners
• Own recruitment analytics - track pipeline health, conversion metrics, source performance, and ROI by channel
• Provide strategic insights to senior leadership on market conditions, hiring challenges, and opportunities
• Collaborate with capacity planning to align recruitment efforts with patient demand forecasts
• Manage end-to-end recruitment process from initial outreach through onboarding handoff
• Coordinate with credentialing and onboarding teams to ensure smooth candidate experience
• Maintain accurate candidate records in ATS and provide regular pipeline reporting
• Develop scalable recruitment processes that can grow with the business

• As the third engineering hire, shape architecture, systems, and culture; ensure platform is robust, secure, and scalable while building new products.
• Build & ship innovative products quickly: deliver products, platform improvements, and operational tooling at startup velocity.
• Ensure healthcare-grade compliance: design and implement HIPAA-compliant systems that safeguard PHI and maintain security and audit standards.
• Collaborate across functions with COO, Product, Operations, and Clinical leadership to meet stakeholder needs.
• Contribute to engineering best practices: design patterns, testing, deployment pipelines, observability, and incident response.
• Act as a technical thought partner to leadership on roadmap trade-offs between speed, scale, and compliance.
• Partner with Founding Senior Principal Engineer to set technical direction, system design, infrastructure, scalability, and security.
• Mentor and level up the team, instilling technical excellence and accountability.
