About the role
- Lead and manage the diligence team, setting priorities across incoming deals
- Oversee client relationships, ensuring high-quality service delivery and satisfaction
- Support new client onboarding, including mapping tapes, guideline acceptance, and setup
- Partner with analysts to ensure client guidelines are programmed correctly
- Collaborate with engineering to address bugs, implement fixes, and roll out new features
- Provide quality control (QC), reporting, and system testing support
- Act as an escalation point for client issues, including calls and emails
- Drive continuous improvement of diligence processes and team performance.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in credit, mortgage operations, or real estate finance, with 2+ years of direct people management
- Familiarity with collateral review, tape diligence, underwriting documentation, and secondary loan market practices
- Proven ability to prioritize across a high-volume deal pipeline without dropping the ball
- Experience managing client-facing workflows and troubleshooting issues in real time
- Comfort working across functions, especially with engineering, product, and QA
- Track record of building team culture, coaching for performance, and driving accountability
- Ability to spot inefficiencies and redesign processes for clarity, speed, and scale.
