Gain hands-on experience in software development, debugging, testing, and collaborating on real-world projects
Design, configure, and maintain data center and hosting network infrastructure (routing, switching, VLANs, VXLAN)
Implement and manage VPNs, hybrid connectivity (on-prem ↔ cloud), and cloud networking components
Administer DNS, load balancers (Nginx, HAProxy, hardware LBs), and hosting protocols
Configure and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and apply basic DDoS mitigation and WAF controls
Build automation scripts (Python, Bash, Ansible) and integrate monitoring/alerting dashboards
Perform network troubleshooting and root-cause analysis using packet captures, traceroute, and Wireshark
Handle SLA-driven escalations from NOC/customers and participate in 24/7 operations and shift rotations
Produce and maintain documentation: configs, procedures, incident reports; explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
Requirements
At least 3 years of professional networking experience
Certifications mandatory: CCAN R&S (EI), CCNP R&S (EI), or JNCIA-Junos, JNCIS-ENT, JNCIS-SP, JNCIP-ENT, CCNA DC, CCNP DC (or equivalent; job also asks if you hold CCNP, JNCIA, or equivalent)
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, VLANs, and subnetting
Proficiency in routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, MPLS
Experience with VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL, GRE, site-to-site, remote access)
Hands-on with switching technologies: STP, EtherChannel, VXLAN
Practical experience with Cisco Catalyst & Nexus switches, Juniper EX/QFX/MX series (preferred exposure to Arista or Mellanox)
Experience with DNS (Bind, PowerDNS, Anycast) and hosting protocols (HTTP(S), SMTP, FTP/SFTP)
Load balancing experience (Nginx, HAProxy, or hardware LB like F5, Citrix)
Familiarity with cloud networking (VPCs, subnets, peering, NAT gateways, VPN gateways) and hands-on with AWS, Azure, or VMware NSX
