Serve as the submarine crew development Subject Matter Expert for submarine program development, crew training development, qualification and certification program development, maintenance practices, maintenance schedule development, and major inspection preparations.
Support ship’s force technical training development and assessment.
Participate in and monitor technical exchange meetings between ships’ force and Electric Boat.
Provide strategic analysis and risk assessment; assist crew leadership in development and execution of crew development and training plans.
Provide feedback to the government customer and crew senior leadership on crew performance and readiness.
Research and analyze historical performance and best practices to inform crew development and maintenance planning.
Interact with Electric Boat and crew personnel to develop plans to meet construction milestones and key events.
Prepare reports and briefs, as directed by the customer, on crew performance and readiness.
Requirements
An active Secret Clearance.
A Bachelor’s degree OR at least 20 years’ active-duty submarine experience.
10 years of experience.
An advanced MS Office skillset to include Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Excel.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment accepting emergent tasking with little to no supervision and/or direction.
Discretion in performing specified work requirements.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively and build strong working relationships with a vast team of diverse professionals.
Attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines, as well as work independently and with sufficient knowledge to present projects to senior management.
Ability to travel 10%.
Preferred Experience Includes: Senior submarine crew leadership or ISIC oversight experience in submarine new construction or overhaul.
Preferred Experience Includes: Submarine pilot experience.
