About the role
- Work with subject matter experts and instructors to design and develop lesson plans, student guides, quizzes, and other elements of scenario-based and performance-based instructor-led and web-based training under the guidance of a Sr. ISD.
- Demonstrate knowledge of law enforcement and leadership training principles and assist the Senior ISD in fostering design innovation in training these areas.
- Update and maintain course content for instructor-led and web-based courses.
- Collaborate with an instructional design team (instructional designers, graphic artists, SMEs, instructors) and project and program managers to design responsive training and/or performance support solutions and schedules.
- Apply expertise on multiple complex work assignments which are broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation to determine how to accomplish tasks.
- Evaluate performance results and recommend major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
Requirements
- Willingness to undergo a background investigation and/or obtain a security clearance.
- THIS POSITION REQUIRES A BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION AND/OR OBTAINING A SECURITY CLEARANCE.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in the field of Education, Training or Instructional Design
- Minimum two (2) years experience as an Instructional Systems Designer.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and superior oral and written communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge with BIETP FLETA reaccreditation and initial accreditation of other ERO Academy programs. (Preferred)
- Instructional Systems Design Certification preferred but not required.
