About the role
- Identify, forecast, and secure new business opportunities across Western Canada Provinces by leveraging Sentrex pharmacy services and support programs
- Consult with manufacturers and prospective third-party clients on the ophthalmology landscape within Western Canada
- Conduct in clinic and virtual needs assessments and manage smooth transitions when onboarding new retina clinic accounts
- Train clinic staff and support efficient day to day clinic operations
- Serve as the primary liaison between clinic staff and patient support teams to resolve operational challenges
- Act as the main bridge between pharmacy operations and commercial teams, ensuring alignment on service expectations and timelines
- Lead day-to-day issue resolution related to unfilled prescription, compounding needs, product availability and supply forecasting
- Responsible for setting up and managing weekly touch points with various internal stakeholders and report back to Ophthalmology commercial team as needed
- Communicate urgent operational needs, risks, or service gaps to pharmacy and commercial leadership
- Conduct regular inventory counts at participating clinics and ensure timely, accurate reporting of inventory levels
- Oversee and support the annual full inventory count, ensuring accuracy, reconciliation, and compliance with internal standards
- Monitor clinic consumption patterns and recommend adjustments to forecasting and supply planning
- Maintain close working relationships with clinic staff, physicians, and internal pharmacy teams to ensure seamless operations
- Support medication deliveries when required and identify opportunities to optimize logistics routes and delivery efficiencies
- Maintain consistent communication and service for each account through in-person visits and/or weekly virtual touch points
- Provide same-day responses to all requests and inquiries from clinic staff and physicians
- Lead field team training and support patient program activities as needed
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the manager
Requirements
- University or College Degree (or applicable experience)
- Broad knowledge and training in the fields of business administration, sales, marketing, specialty pharmacy or similar vocations
- Experience in the Healthcare Industry considered an asset
- Organized and thorough manager who can coordinate numerous tasks and operational activities
- Strong customer/client management background
- Good analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated track record of new concept development for various projects
- Critical thinking skills, creative and innovative solutions to internal or external client needs
