About the role
- Manage the accounting for company payroll and provide key support to the team on payroll reconciliation.
- Managing A/R and A/P functions.
- Managing the monthly accounting close process, including but not limited to journal entries, account reconciliations, adjustments, accruals, and flux analysis.
- Oversees the preparation of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
- Timely and accurate filing of federal, state, and local taxes, and coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Developing and improving accounting processes and systems to drive efficiency and best practices.
- Establishing, implementing and administering internal control policies, procedures and processes.
- Participate in accounting and system integrations.
- Manage, coach, and train accounting team members.
Requirements
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in accounting roles of increasing responsibility.
- Public Accounting experience (preferably Big 4 or National CPA firms).
- Managing team of Accountants.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with multicurrency, intercompany, and consolidated accounting.
- Strong understanding of inventory and cost accounting.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and NetSuite (or similar, e.g., SAP, MS Dynamics GP/Great Plains, etc.)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Organized, detail oriented, ability to multi-task.
