Responsible for the design, development, timing and production release of a system/component within Fuel Systems: filler pipes, fuel lines, tanks, canisters
Lead quality improvements, value optimization, weight reduction and other efficiency improvement initiatives
Communicate technical product status to management
Interact with suppliers and work closely with internal and external groups such as testing and prototype labs, CAE engineers, vehicle program team, supplier operations and manufacturing plants
Support prototype and production readiness activities and cross-functional collaboration
Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering required (ABET accredited university or equivalent)
BSME preferred
1-3 years of design/development automotive engineering experience in Fuel Systems and/or UREA (internship with Fuel Systems or UREA considered)
Self-starter with strong leadership, communication & organizational skills
Demonstrated problem solving ability
Formula SAE, Baja, or similar experience in college (beneficial)
Extensive automotive experience preferred
Product engineering experience preferred
Prototype experience preferred
Experience with DFMEA preferred
Experience with DVP&R preferred
Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) preferred
Belt certification preferred
Solid understanding of system/component design preferred
General understanding of NX, TeamCenter and CoDeP preferred
