About the role
- Process and manage customer’s payroll in Luxemburg
- Gather information on hours worked for each employee
- Calculate wages including overtime, deductions, bonuses etc. using a computer system
- Receive approval from upper management for payments when needed
- Prepare and execute pay orders through an electronic system or distribute paychecks
- Administer statements of payment to personnel electronically or on paper
- Process taxes and payment of employee benefits
- Keep track of hour rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc.
- Address payroll issues and questions from employees and superiors
- Handle requests and potential complaints from customers
- Prepare reports for upper management and finance department etc.
Requirements
- Proven experience as payroll specialist
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
- Very good knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field
- Written and speaking proficiency in French
- English will be used as main communication language within the company
- Ability to assess the user’s situation and have user focus
- Curious with investigative mindset
- Analytical thinking & problem-solving skills
- Able to handle complaints and challenging customers
- Team player able to work efficiently and independently
- Working independently in a structured approach
- Open to learn and have new experiences
