Daily purchasing, including purchase orders and cross-company purchase orders, and required follow-up to confirm and track ship dates and push out, pull in, or cancel orders as needed.
Communication with vendors and sister sites to develop and maintain effective relationships, obtain details for open order reports, expedite orders based on production needs, and facilitate vendor returns
Monitor spare part requirements and communicate issues and shortages.
Escalate critical vendor/supply issues to global supply chain management, spare parts, and global procurement (Category Management)
Identify and develop suppliers for the defined product groups in cooperation with global supply chain management, spare parts, and global procurement (Category Management)
Establish constant supplier audits and evaluations in coordination with Global Supplier Quality.
Monitor and update safety stock for raw materials together with the inventory analyst.
Request delivery times from sister sites and external suppliers and update lead times in SAP
Create and maintain vendor and master data information in SAP.
Coordinate the logistic flow (pickups and drop-offs) with vendors.
Obtain certifications of authenticity/conformity for incoming materials.
Monitor the supplier performance based on defined key performance indicators and provide reports and information as requested.
Approve stock sharing with sister sites, provide transfer pricing, and coordinate drop shipments.
Internal, external, vendor, production, ops meetings, etc., as required
Participate in on-site and/or company-wide initiatives. Part of the global spares team and a responsible expert in the region
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field
1+ years of purchasing experience
Strong, effective communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
Proven software skills, e.g., Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and PowerPoint)
1+ years of experience in SAP for procurement, inventory management, and reporting
Fluent in Spanish is a plus
