About the role
- Develop sales opportunities for Sandvik Mining product lines within the defined territory and/or for assigned customer accounts
- Assess customers' total potential for SMR products
- Conduct opportunity analyses by customer and by site
- Serve as the primary point of contact for accounts and liaise with appropriate personnel for communications
- Provide feedback to product manufacturing plants to help improve product offerings
- Develop a sales and service plan for the designated territory and/or assigned customers
- Maintain accurate customer records in accordance with company requirements
- Assist, as needed, with physical inventories (including consignment stock)
- Work with assigned customers to manage accounts receivable (days sales outstanding – billing) in line with company targets
Requirements
- University degree (or two‑year college diploma) in business administration or marketing, a technical diploma in engineering, or equivalent education demonstrating relevant technical knowledge or expertise
- Ability to work within an integrated, multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility, autonomy, and demonstrated initiative
- Ability to develop an understanding of clients' business processes and provide dealer management support services
- Excellent customer relationship and active listening skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to understand clients' application processes to advise on equipment needs
- Comfortable with computer tools, including computerized inventory and sales systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Willingness and ability to travel more than 50% of the time
- Valid passport
