Manage a team of full-stack engineers to deliver customer-driven solutions using JavaScript, Vue, Python, GraphQL, and AWS services
Use data to uncover new opportunities, drive customer acquisition, and build seamless online experiences that empower customers to discover, try, and buy products
Lead experiments, MVPs, and product launches to accelerate the self-serve growth engine
Support the growth of individual engineers through mentoring/coaching and career-pathing
Collaborate with senior engineers to drive technical strategy and set quarterly goals balancing product/engineering priorities
Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Designers to develop new products and enhance existing ones
Drive roadmapping discussions and influence cross-organizational initiatives to best serve customers
Perform code reviews and ensure proper design and delivery of major features
Be hands-on and contribute to feature development and set high standards for component reliability
Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles and hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, engaged, high-performing team
Requirements
8+ years of full-stack engineering experience
1+ years of direct people management experience leading a full-stack product development team
Understands the value of team culture, communication, and collaboration
Experience developing individual contributors based on their needs and interests, as well as the needs of the company
Is a technology business partner - recognizes the value in relationships with team members in and out of Engineering
Demonstrated expertise in at least one layer of our technical stack (JavaScript, Python)
Experience with JavaScript, Vue, Python, GraphQL, and various AWS services
Has experience building, delivering, and managing large-scale customer-facing products (preferred/ideal)
Experience working on Growth Engineering teams and/or solving business growth problems (preferred/ideal)
This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US
Ability to secure and maintain the legal right to work at the company and in the specified work location (if applicable)

Samsara’s compensation program: base salary + bonus/variable + restricted stock unit awards (RSUs) for eligible roles
Base salary range disclosed: $109,480 — $184,000 USD
RSU award may be awarded at the time of hire and additional RSU refresh grants may be awarded annually
