About the role

Collaborate with customers, engineers, product managers, and designers to understand pain points and translate feedback into features.
Lead the development of 0-to-1 initiatives: rapidly prototype, iterate based on customer feedback, and ensure scalable long-term solutions.
Leverage cutting-edge AI tools to design innovative experiences and drive smarter decision-making for end users.
Drive technical leadership and architectural decision-making.
Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team).
Build digital workflows that replace manual inspections, audits, and reporting with automated, tech-assisted solutions to modernize front-line workforce operations.
Work on products that have real-world impact on safety, efficiency, and sustainability of physical operations.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
4+ years of professional full-stack software experience in a production environment.
Strong growth mindset, including a desire to continuously teach, learn from, and grow with your team members.
Willingness to dive deep and solve challenging technical problems.
Experience building in a high-growth startup environment (preferred).
Track record of success contributing to software products at scale (preferred).
Familiarity with GraphQL, gRPC, React Native, React, Go, and TypeScript (preferred).
Experience with native mobile application development (preferred).
Ability to secure and maintain the legal right to work at the company and in the specified work location.
Willingness to work on-site three days per week at the San Francisco office.
