About the role

  • Implement effective coaching and development of Account Executives
  • Collaborate with executive team to develop performance metrics
  • Coordinate the involvement of Field Sales Engineers and support teams to meet performance objectives and customer expectations
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles
  • Hire, develop, lead and retain an inclusive, engaged, and high performing team
  • Expand Samsara’s brand and customer base in the Public Sector market
  • Sell into all levels of an organization in both technology and lines of business and manage forecasting methodology

Requirements

  • Previous experience supervising a sales team in the Western USA in a management capacity and looking to move into a management role
  • Proven track record of ability to train, spearhead and motivate enterprise sales teams
  • Solid understanding of SFDC and accurate forecasting methodology
  • 8+ years of technology sales experience
  • 5+ years experience managing a team/sales supervision and/or high overachievement as an individual contributor in Public Sector
  • Ideally have Federal Sales experience and understanding of this market’s unique compliance requirements
  • Public Sector (aka SLED) sales and/or sales management experience (preferred)
  • SaaS/Cloud selling experience (preferred)
  • Candidates should be located in the Western United States market
