About the role
- Implement and maintain email security measures to protect against spam, phishing, malware, and other email-borne threats.
- Manage and optimize email security platforms such as Proofpoint.
- Monitor email traffic for suspicious activity and security incidents.
- Respond to and investigate email security incidents, coordinating with the incident response team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Security, IT, and CSIRT, to enhance email security controls.
- Develop and maintain documentation for email security processes and procedures.
- Stay current with the latest email security threats, trends, and technologies.
- Provide support and guidance to users on email security best practices.
- Analyze and report on email security metrics and performance.
- Identify and implement improvements to email security systems and processes.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of new email security technologies and vendors.
- Support and maintenance of secure internet access solutions, including SASE architectures.
- Monitor and analyze internet traffic for security threats and anomalies.
- Collaborate on the development and enforcement of internet access policies and controls.
- Build and deploy honey tokens across the enterprise environment.
Requirements
- Experience working in a large-scale, enterprise security environment.
- A related technical degree required
- Experience in the evaluating and selection of new email security technologies and vendors would be beneficial
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining documentation for email security processes and procedures.
- Providing support and guidance to users on email security best practices.
- Analyzing and reporting on email security metrics and performance.
- Collaborating on the development and enforcement of internet access policies and controls.
- Identifying and implementing improvements to email security systems and processes.
- Experience with deception technologies
- Some proficiency with scripting languages such as Python
- Some proficiency with Linux/Unix command prompt and shell scripting
- CISSP, CISM or similar security or network certification
