About the role
- Define, champion, and evangelize a compelling vision for Salesforce’s unified data graph and enterprise knowledge platform
- Develop and manage a multi-year product roadmap; prioritize initiatives based on customer impact, business value, and technical feasibility
- Drive end-to-end product lifecycle from concept through launch, adoption, and iteration
- Lead integrated teams of product managers, engineers, and data scientists to build and extend the Salesforce platform
- Accelerate build-out of unified customer profiles on Data Cloud and harmonize customer signals across systems
- Implement master data management processes (survivorship logic, data enrichment, hierarchy management, data quality management, contact-to-account linking)
- Extend Master Data Management and enrichment platforms and integrate with 1st/2nd/3rd party data ecosystem
- Build Salesforce’s enterprise knowledge graph; integrate ontology management and harmonize unstructured data into accessible data products
- Manage data vendor strategy, budget, relationships, and integrations
- Ensure continuous data operations, governance, and data quality with globally distributed teams
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, data science, research, design, marketing, and sales
- Engage executive leadership and stakeholders; secure buy-in and manage expectations
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team; foster performance culture and innovation
- Maintain strong technical understanding (data management, LLMs, vector/graph DBs, agentic models) to guide product decisions
- Drive operational excellence, uptime, and reliability; implement best practices for product discovery and delivery
- Represent Salesforce at events and industry forums; manage vendor and partner relationships
Requirements
- 15+ years of data and AI software product management experience
- 7-10 years in a significant product leadership role (Director level or above) focused on machine learning, AI platforms, data products, or enterprise-scale technology platforms
- Proven track record of launching, scaling, and growing complex, data-intensive enterprise-grade platforms and AI-powered applications
- Demonstrated expertise in master data management practices and technologies (identity management, hierarchy management, ontology management, identity resolution, survivorship logic, golden record identification)
- Extremely strong data modeling skills and understanding of data modeling practices
- Knowledge and strong interest in unstructured data ingestion, metadata management, ontological modeling, vector databases, and graph databases
- Experience building or significantly contributing to enterprise products that incorporate machine learning and AI decision systems
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and scale high-performing product teams and manage orgs at scale (50-100+ FTEs)
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to C-level executives
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence in a global, matrixed organization
- Deep knowledge and proven use of agile software development practices (Scrum/Agile) and CI/CD
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (~15-25%)
- Preferred: Master's or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning or related field
- Preferred: Experience with large-scale distributed systems and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Preferred: Experience delivering and managing product lines with significant revenue or business impact
- Preferred: Expertise with Salesforce products and the Salesforce platform ecosystem
- Preferred: Experience building data management solutions for CRM, sales, service, or marketing domains
- Preferred: Experience with data governance, privacy regulations, and implementing ethical AI frameworks
- Preferred: Active participation in the data & AI/ML research, open-source community, and industry events
