About the role

  • Lead creation of advanced technical systems to evaluate and manage home risk, including tools that estimate replacement costs.
  • Collaborate with software developers, civil engineers, and data scientists to design cutting-edge tools that assess risk and deliver insights to homeowners.
  • Manage complex, high-impact products that shape how data and technology keep communities safer.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with software, data science, and underwriting teams to design and deliver systems that enhance understanding of insured properties.
  • Lead enhancements and optimizations of tools that estimate replacement costs, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Leverage home data and insights to create models and tools that help homeowners take proactive steps to protect their homes.
  • Develop and manage a product roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on business impact and cross-functional input.
  • Research emerging technologies and innovative approaches to strengthen home resilience and improve risk assessment.
  • Communicate progress and strategic recommendations to leaders and stakeholders across the organization.
  • Drive data analysis initiatives and support high-priority projects that advance company objectives and product performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field such as engineering, mathematics, data science, or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in product management, product development, innovation management, or a related field.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear insights for diverse audiences.
  • A data-driven, analytical mindset with proven experience working with large, complex datasets.
  • Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools such as Python, SQL, Excel, and Power BI (or similar).
  • Experience managing cross-functional initiatives, with a proven ability to coordinate stakeholders and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguous problems, with a talent for developing creative, practical solutions.
  • (Highly preferred) Master’s degree in engineering, data science, business, or another relevant field.
  • (Highly preferred) Demonstrated success in launching new products or solutions from concept to execution, especially within an innovation-focused or entrepreneurial environment.
  • (Highly preferred) Familiarity with software development practices (Agile/Scrum) and experience collaborating closely with engineering teams.
  • (Highly preferred) Background in property and casualty insurance, insurtech, or related industries.
  • (Highly preferred) Hands-on experience or insight into homeowner needs (e.g., through construction, renovation, or home improvement).
