About the role
- Manage oversight on all compliance related activities concerning regulatory and industry standards such as FAA, EASA, ISO, OSHA, etc.
- Direct customer facing liaison on multiple topics; including configuration, documentation, maintenance, regulatory requirements, non-conforming products, and general support
- Troubleshoot system, LRUs, cabling and etc. to resolve reported issues and concerns
- Support an environment conducive to the successful support of IFE/avionic equipment
- Work with internal teams, customers and partners/vendors to resolve installation and field related issues and concerns
- Lead supplier related issues and concerns to ensure product maintenance and reliability
- Review and approve the implementation of Quality and Technical plans that support the Operations Master Plan
- Lead the Material Review Board process and ensure a less than a week turn around
- Support the New Product Return process
- Lead the Non-Conforming Products process between Customers, Suppliers and internally
- Support the New Product Introduction and Transfer of Work processes
- Train and provide coaching and mentoring as needed with specific focus on Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCA), Continuous improvement and 8D
- Lead the FAI / APQP deployment plan at SPI and its suppliers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field
- 10+ years of experience in quality, continuous improvement or compliance roles with the aerospace or regulated manufacturing industry
- 6+ years of experience working in a leadership or management role
- Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
- Strong knowledge of FAA, EASA, AS9100/ISO 9001, and OSHA standards
- Hands-on experience leading Material Review Board (MRB) and Non-Conformance Review processes with a focus on rapid turnaround and cost reduction
- Strong knowledge of RCCA, 8D, FAI, and APQP tools and methodologies with the ability to coach and mentor others in their application
- Proven success supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and Transfer of Work (ToW) projects to ensure smooth transitions into production
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills for engagement with executive leadership, customers, and regulatory bodies
- Advanced experience with internal business systems (ex. ERP, Microsoft office)
- Kanban (pull system) experience highly desired
- Certified Six Sigma and lean enterprise methodology preferred

- The starting pay range for this position is $137,300 - $164,800 per year however, base pay offered may vary depending on the level of the position, skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
