About the role
- We are seeking a Senior Accountant who thrives in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
- This is a hands-on role requiring deep analytical skills, high attention to detail, and a strong understanding of GAAP principles.
- The ideal candidate can operate independently while collaborating cross-functionally to support SafeRide’s mission of improving access to care for vulnerable populations.
- Key Responsibilities: Lead monthly accounting close procedures including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting in accordance with GAAP; Manage and reconcile monthly customer billing and payments; Oversee prepaid expense schedules and prepare monthly amortization entries; Record and reconcile corporate credit card activity; Support billing process reconciliation between SafeRide’s front-end system and vendor payments; Prepare and maintain detailed balance sheet reconciliations and workpapers; Assist in annual external financial audits; Assist in periodic state and health plan audits; Help maintain accounting policies and internal controls; Support ad hoc accounting projects and cross-functional initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.)
- Deep understanding of GAAP and accounting fundamentals
