About the role
- Manages, plans, and directs corporate facilities operations to ensure support levels deliver on corporate needs and customer requirements.
- Leads collaboration across internal enterprise service organizations to set priorities and effectively plan, schedule, and activate an integrated delivery model.
- Monitors customer regulations, along with federal, state, and local laws and ordinances to determine impact on Saab, Inc.; develops and adapts internal operating practices accordingly.
- Reviews and approves long-range facilities requirements for development of capital forecasts, building construction, sustainment, restoration, and modernization plans.
- Prepares facilities requirements for developing capital and overhead budgets.
- Oversees contracted engineering study, design, and construction activities.
- In collaboration with the business units, the director leads the development of Master Facilities Plan and Strategic Facilities Plan; supports development of Maintenance Action Plans.
- Leads development of building criteria and guidelines for new construction, restoration, and modernization of owned and leased building portfolio.
- Monitors organizational performance through relevant metrics, data analytics, and key performance indicators.
- Directly supervise division facility managers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, design, construction management, facilities management, or related field
- 10+ years of facilities management experience including industry best practices, standards, and methodologies
- 5+ of leadership experience
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of customers and corporate staff with effective interpersonal skills and communication; works well in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and projects and integrate across other internal service organizations
- Willingness and ability to travel to regional site locations (~25%)
- This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
