About the role
- Establish and maintain high-quality service standards at the ADP.
- Assess client needs, supervise service delivery, and act as a clinical resource for staff.
- Monitor client records, evaluate work processes, and assist the DCS in revising policies to ensure customer-driven care.
- Maintain professional relationships with funders, health care organizations, and the public to enhance service quality.
- Assist the DCS in overseeing the Assisted Living Program during the DCS’ absence.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to interview and select new team members.
- Conduct employee appraisals, investigate staff issues, and initiate disciplinary actions or grievance management when necessary.
- Coordinate staffing levels and ensure the efficient use of material resources.
- Facilitate student placements and support advanced clinical research within the program.
Requirements
- Diploma in Nursing
- Practicing membership with the British Columbia College of Nurse & Midwives (BCCNM)
- Minimum of three (3) years of recent, related clinical experience, including at least one (1) year in a leadership capacity.
- Strong planning & organizational, problem solving & decision making and time management skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in Chinese (written and spoken) is considered a strong asset.
