About the role

  • Provide Daily Level-2 production support for Index Data Platforms, ensuring high availability and timely resolution of issues.
  • Monitor and validate Daily data load jobs, proactively identifying failures and performance degradation.
  • Support Historical Data migration activities, including validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution.
  • Respond to critical production incidents, deliver immediate workarounds, and drive restoration to meet business continuity needs.
  • Partner with business operations to deliver day-to-day technical and data support, including investigation of data queries and operational issues.
  • Perform root-cause analysis, log and track defects, and collaborate with engineering teams through resolution and release.
  • Escalate high-impact or non-resolvable issues appropriately, providing clear status updates and ETA to stakeholders and customers.
  • Conduct scheduled system health checks, publish outcomes, and notify internal/external stakeholders of risks or anomalies.
  • Troubleshoot issues involving external parties such as stock exchanges and market data distributors.
  • Lead or facilitate post-incident reviews (post-mortems) and ensure corrective and preventive actions are documented and tracked.
  • Maintain and continuously improve support documentation, including runbooks, checkout procedures, and escalation paths.
  • Execute disaster recovery processes and support change management activities (change tickets, approvals, and release coordination).
  • Coordinate with vendor partners and data hosting providers to resolve technical issues and service disruptions.
  • Communicate effectively with global customers, business users, and IT stakeholders, ensuring clarity and responsiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering is required, or in lieu, a demonstrated equivalence in work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Level-2 Application/Data production support is required.
  • Experience in Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres Database or any relational database, PL/SQL troubleshoot & stored procedures knowledge required.
  • Good knowledge and experience in supporting enterprise applications using Microsoft .NET (C# MVC), Java, RDBMS, and modern web technologies.
  • Experience in writing Unix Shell scripts is required.
  • Experience working on AWS services like ECS, EC2, RDS, S3, Cloud Watch, EMR, Lambda, Glue, etc. is required.
  • Strong Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Datadog or any other observability/monitoring tool like Dynatrace, Grafana etc.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline management using tools like Jenkins, or Azure DevOps etc.
  • Familiarity with ITSM processes & tools such as ServiceNow, PagerDuty, or similar incident management platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with strong verbal and writing proficiencies.
