About the role
- Manage a complex portfolio of high-profile utility revenue credits, lead analytical initiatives, collaborate across teams, and chair rating committees
- Guide and coach pod members, ensuring alignment with S&P Global's mission and values while fostering professional growth and development
- Develop insightful, forward-looking credit rating research and contribute to thought leadership publications and market outreach
- Create memorable interactions with rated entities, investors, and market participants by providing critical information and communicating S&P Global Ratings' perspectives
- Document analyses thoroughly to ensure clarity and transparency in credit rating decisions
Requirements
- 7+ years of extensive experience in Public Finance sector analysis
- Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of financial statements, accounting concepts, and municipal utility sector expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field; postgraduate qualifications advantageous
- Broad extensive knowledge of practices within Public Finance and its interrelationship with other areas
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to articulate complex ideas across functions and levels
- All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
