About the role
- The successful candidate will combine an understanding of the S&P Global Research business and industry expertise.
- They will also be able to work well in a team, be highly self-motivated and able to execute independently when required.
- Identifying mechanisms and methods to support and further develop our industry-leading sugar analytics
- Harness existing data sets, identify new data sets for collection and analysis and conduct rigorous reviews of the quality of that information
- Demonstrate a dynamic approach to learning and a passion for the industry
- Create compelling content that helps our core readership make better-informed trading, risk management and investment decisions
- Deliver succinct, high-quality written content
- Engage with customers and potential customers, demonstrating expertise and acting as ambassador for S&P Global’s pursuit of analytical excellence
Requirements
- Experience in agriculture markets (7+ years), with a particular focus on sugar.
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including concise written style; and presentation skills.
- Willingness and ability to anticipate and respond to customer needs and market changes.
- Ability to provide insightful analysis to the market in compelling and straightforward content
- Strong customer mind set with demonstrated ability to engage directly and honestly with customers and deliver positive experience by creating a partnership mentality
- Proficient in identifying, gathering, and analyzing information to solve problems effectively.
- Ability to recognize trends and provide recommendations and develop logical conclusions.
- Knowledge of mathematical, statistical and modelling concepts and research methods would be beneficial
- Strong Excel skills.
- Experience with power modelling tools.
