About the role
- The Senior Director Solutions Design is an essential leadership role that is aligned by either industry verticals or by design discipline and leads the overall new business pursuit team and process.
- The incumbent will manage and lead a group of pursuit team members to help successfully lead the pursuit from start to finish throughout the various stages of the pursuit all the way through successful transition during startup.
- He/She will lead and manage a group of team members.
- They will align with the Sales and Operational leadership team to help shape the win strategy & organize the right resources to successful win new business.
- The incumbent will develop overall pursuit response strategy and how to respond to the client and will develop, mentor & advise SD team members on modeling and design techniques to create, re-design, or optimize logistics networks.
- He/She will have deep expertise by industry vertical and across solution design disciplines (Transportation, Warehousing & Network Design) and act as a strategic thinker and customer-focused leader.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering
- Master's degree preferred in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering
- Ten (10) years or more in the transportation industry (e.g., Truckload, Multi-stop TL, LTL, Intermodal, Bulk, Rail, or Parcel services) required
- Ten (10) years or more in the Warehousing and/or Manufacturing industry (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Warehouse Operations, Operations) required
