About the role
- Serve as the technical sales expert for control valves, actuators, and valve automation systems.
- Drive new business development and expand accounts through a solutions-oriented approach.
- Collaborate with customers to specify engineered-to-order valve solutions for severe service applications.
- Conduct site visits and application reviews to gather process data and build long-term customer trust.
- Prepare accurate quotations and collaborate with Inside Sales, Engineering, and Vendor teams.
- Represent Rust and our manufacturers at industry events, training sessions, and customer audits.
Requirements
- Proven experience in technical sales or applications engineering in the valve or process automation industry.
- Working knowledge of control valve applications, sizing, and specifications.
- Ability to read P&IDs, technical drawings, and understand industrial process environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, quoting platforms, and vendor configurators.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering preferred (or equivalent experience).
