About the role
- Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers to ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities, as well as manage P&W objectives at supplier sites (i.e. inventory optimization, buffer strategy, lead time reduction, etc).
- Track supplier performance metrics, such as quality, delivery, and cost, and implement improvement plans as needed.
- Execute EMMs at the supplier, and support Business Reviews.
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program management teams to align supply chain activities with project requirements and manage flow of procured material.
- Provide regular updates on supplier performance, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing Negotiate on the development & execution of the supplier strategy, including ensuring compliance with LTA and addressing any issues that arise.
- Lead strategic supplier transitions in coordination with sourcing & GSC transitions management.
- Develop and review supplier risk mitigation plans to influence supplier performance & behavior based on identified risks (capacity constraints, quality issues, geopolitical challenges, etc).
- Collaborate with demand planning teams to ensure suppliers are equipped to meet forecasted requirements.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations, standards, and company policies, including ITAR, FAR, and DFARS requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain and Operations management or related field with 10 years of experience in operations, supply chain or program management;
- Advanced degree with 7 years of experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems or sites.
- Exposure to SAP ERP systems is a plus.
