About the role

  • Lead, train, guide and develop a team of Contracts professionals and/or managers
  • Define and execute negotiation strategy and terms and conditions
  • Manage contractual and business change management and contract fulfillment
  • Oversee proposal management, analyze RFPs, conduct proposal reviews and coordinate customer responses
  • Mitigate risks and manage financial and operational impacts to the Business Unit
  • Support audit activities and provide contract audit support
  • Draft and interpret contract language; ensure negotiated terms comply with company policies and legal requirements
  • Provide requirement interpretation and flowdown
  • Provide performance feedback and employee support; develop process improvements to enhance functional performance
  • Establish relationships with internal and external customers and provide guidance to senior management on contractual and business issues
  • Support program management and execution reviews; work with Value Stream Leaders and Program Managers on competitive pursuit strategy, IP and investment strategy
  • Support L3 Value Stream Leaders on cross-functional collaboration, PO processing and fulfillment, negotiation guidance, and customer negotiations as needed

Requirements

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required (only U.S. citizens authorized to access information under this program/contract)
  • Security Clearance: None/Not Required
  • Experience as a people leader (preferred)
  • Customer contracts and negotiation experience (preferred)
  • Aerospace contracts experience; specifically aerospace engines (preferred)
  • Experience with commercial contracts (preferred)
  • Legal degree (preferred)
