About the role
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for SAP functional modules such as QM and Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze processes, and recommend SAP-based solutions
- Configure and customize SAP systems to align with business requirements and industry best practices
- Collaborate with technical teams to design, test, and implement system enhancements and integrations
- Provide end-user support and training to ensure effective utilization of SAP tools
- Perform system testing, validation, and troubleshooting to resolve issues and defects and report Root Cause determination
- Document functional specifications, process flows, and system configurations
- Stay current with SAP advancements and emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions
- Support project management activities including scoping/level of estimate, change control processes, and deliverable tracking for SAP-related projects
- Support application upgrades
- Available to support off-shift system support
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science and Technology, or a STEM related discipline or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree with 8 years of professional experience with SAP functional analysis and configuration
- 8 years of professional experience with SAP functional analysis and configuration
- U.S. citizenship is required
- In-depth knowledge of SAP modules and their integration points
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Expert troubleshooting techniques and ability to escalate issues properly and in a timely fashion
- Available to support off-shift system support
- Ability to perform system testing, validation, and troubleshooting and report Root Cause determination
- Experience configuring and customizing SAP systems
- Experience with system enhancements and integrations
- Support application upgrades
- Security Clearance: None/Not Required
- Preferred: SAP certification in relevant modules (e.g. QM, PP, PEO, ME, MM)
- Preferred: Experience with Raytheon’s PRISM system and Fiori based “UX” applications
- Preferred: Experience in the aerospace and defense industry or a manufacturing environment
- Preferred: Familiarity with Agile/SAFe methodologies
- Preferred: Experience extending SAP standard functionality using ABAP Objects and other modern SAP technologies
- Preferred: Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and cloud-based SAP solutions
- Preferred: RTX CORE certification
