About the role
- Lead Raytheon Javelin Contracts portfolio and provide Contracts leadership for a $900M+ portfolio
- Supervise and develop a team of 5 Contracts Professionals
- Lead front-end assessments and strategy development for capture and negotiations
- Support development and execution of capture and negotiation strategies
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal/external senior customers and Javelin JV partners
- Advise contractual rights and obligations and mitigate business, contractual, and program risks
- Ensure contracting actions support long-range financial planning and business interests
- Report to the Director, Contracts of the Precision Fires & Maneuvers SSBU
- Travel monthly to be onsite with the Javelin Contracts and Program team in Tucson, AZ and to Customer and Partner locations as needed (travel ~33%)
Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
- U.S. citizenship is required
- DoD Clearance: Secret
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
- Experience in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) / Department of Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS) contracting
- Experience in the development of Contracts and/or Sub-Contracts professionals, which may include direct supervisory responsibility, coaching, mentoring, and/ or teaching
- Supervisory responsibility for 5 Contracts Professionals (hiring, growth, development)
- Strong aptitude for contract negotiations
- Ability to understand financial aspects for overall business interests (contracts and other business arrangements)
- Ability to contribute to strategy regarding growth paths and creative solutions
- Experience with FMS and/or Direct Commercial Sales (preferred)
- Joint Venture experience (preferred)
- Willingness to travel approximately 33% and attend monthly onsite meetings in Tucson, AZ
