About the role
- Be the main point of contact (POC) for TCTSII as the local Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- Provide on-site maintenance capabilities to include component triage & testing, determine faulty condition, repair, replace, and upgrade as needed.
- Interface with customers (both internal and external) with a wide range of system understanding.
- Provide on-site diagnosis, data collection, and reports back to engineering for system improvements.
- Review detailed execution plans and schedules with the project management and Service Engineering team lead to ensure adequacy, completeness, and harmonization with the overall program level plan.
- Advise the customer on the physical installation of remote radios, avionic modules, and user interfaced in various of platform avionics equipment whether on ground, airborne, or ship-board platforms.
- Train customers and system users ad-hoc and in classroom.
- Serve as a role model to coworkers by demonstrating respect and sensitivity for fellow workers and promoting open discussion of issues.
- Provide world-class service to customers and produce exemplary results.
- Assess the costs, benefits, and risks of a decision while using sound logic to make well-informed decisions.
- Lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Be a self-starter with great time management skills.
- Position will travel and provide support to remote radios as needed.
Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) (preferably Electronics, IT, or Cybersecurity) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
- Prior Aviation experience.
- Must have experience with COMSEC loading devices (such as an SKL).
- Must hold a current and valid Real ID drivers license to support travel requirements.
- Linux experience (preferred RHEL 7+).
- Experience performing avionics, integration, post-installation testing, or certification activities.
