About the role
- Serve as a technical member on projects that contain moderate to highly complex environments, utilizing high availability concepts
- Collaborate with other members of the Engineering team in the development of technical design solutions
- Capture, analyze, decompose and create requirements for infrastructure security systems, products and subsystems of moderate complexity
- Design, develop, document, test and maintain network security systems ranging from straightforward to moderately complex
- Conduct threat and vulnerability analysis, risk mitigation, information assurance, penetration testing
- Apply Security/Cybersecurity methodologies to network and systems design to provide secure services supporting business requirements
- Provide post-fielding support, resolving operational issues involving L2 and L3 in a multi-routing network infrastructure
- Configure and install various network security devices and services (e.g., stateful firewalls, WAFs, SIEM, AA, IDS/IPS, DDoS, Anti-Malware/Anti-Virus Protection)
- Work collaboratively onsite in the Annapolis, MD facility
Requirements
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future (RTX will not offer sponsorship)
- Some familiarity with cybersecurity/security methodologies and concepts and technologies as they apply to network and cloud infrastructures
- Understanding of IP Networks, and network management concepts (preferred)
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a productive and committed work effort, meeting deadlines and managing workload
- Must be able to use independent judgment to make decisions in day-to-day job responsibilities most of the time, under general supervision
- Experience with engineering reliability and availability (preferred)
- Proven communication and collaboration skills to work across internal and external customers (government and commercial)
- Must be highly motivated, able to work in a collaborative team environment, as well as independently
- Willingness to work onsite in Annapolis, MD
