About the role
- Support the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic) Expeditionary Enterprise Systems and Services (E2S2) Division
- Provide design, acquisition, and sustainment services for Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) Information Technology (IT) systems
- Support daily operational requirements of computer network systems including workstation, file servers, and web servers
- Installation of hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, and web page design, interface and updates
- Maintain local system design documentation
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and implement network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services
- Train staff on applicable software and provide IT assistance to customers
- Monitor system configuration (hardware and software)
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Active Top Secret Level Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems or Higher
- Must have the latest Cybersecurity workforce certification/training in accordance with DoD 8570.1M and subsequent DoD 8140 manual, as applicable (i.e. CompTIA A+ CE, Network+ CE, Security+ CE, CISSP, and GSEC)
- Seven (7) years with Master’s or 11 years with Bachelor’s degree of professional experience in systems administration
- Experience supporting daily operational requirements of computer network systems including workstation, file servers, and web servers
- Experience with installation of hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, and web page design, interface and updates, and local system design documentation
- Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and implementing network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services
- Capable of training staff on software applicable to their position, assisting customers with information technology, monitoring system configuration (hardware and software), and providing instruction on computers and applications
