About the role
- Serve as a technical member on projects with moderate to highly complex environments utilizing high availability concepts
- Collaborate with other members of the Engineering team in the development of technical design solutions
- Capture, analyze, decompose and create requirements for infrastructure security systems, products and subsystems of moderate complexity
- Use an interdisciplinary approach to design, develop, document, test and maintain network security systems
- Conduct threat and vulnerability analysis, risk mitigation, information assurance, and penetration testing
- Apply Security/Cybersecurity methodologies to network and systems design to provide secure services that support business requirements
- Provide post-fielding support, resolving operational issues involving L2 and L3 in a multi-routing network infrastructure
- Configure and install network security devices and services (e.g., stateful firewalls, web application firewalls (WAFs), SIEM, AA, IDS/IPS, DDoS, Anti-Malware/Anti-Virus Protection)
- Collaborate with Corporate Security Teams for the planning, development, implementation and management of the overall AGN system security strategy
- Work collaboratively onsite in our Annapolis, MD facility
Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the information under this program/contract
- Familiarity with cybersecurity/security methodologies and concepts and technologies as they apply to network and cloud infrastructures
- Experience in the design, development, testing and evaluation of network security and communication technologies, products, and solutions
- Collaborate with Corporate Security Teams for planning, development, implementation and management of system security strategy
- Ability to configure and install network security devices and services (e.g., stateful firewalls, web application firewalls (WAFs), SIEM, AA, IDS/IPS, DDoS, Anti-Malware/Anti-Virus Protection)
- Conduct threat and vulnerability analysis, risk mitigation, information assurance, penetration testing
- Provide post-fielding support resolving operational issues involving L2 and L3 in a multi-routing network infrastructure
- Understanding of IP Networks and network management concepts (preferred)
- Experience with engineering reliability and availability (preferred)
- Proven communication and collaboration skills to work across internal and external customers (government and commercial)
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and use independent judgment under general supervision
