About the role
- Prepare, release, and manage engine workscopes and work instructions for maintenance, repair and overhaul of F100 & F117 engines.
- Provide engineering support to other functional areas regarding technical issues related to quality, operations, materials, customer support, and production constraints.
- Develop and maintain life-limited part reports and engine specific bill-of-materials (BOM), including the incorporation of Service Bulletins/TCTOs, Airworthiness Directives, and any unique file-order requirements.
- Support the troubleshooting of rejected engines in test cell.
- Collaborate with testing engineering on technical resolution and risk mitigation.
- Seek opportunities to reduce costs and increase quality and efficiency using new materials, processes, or technology.
- Participate in project development and implementation.
- Create, review and deliver test reports and shop visit reports
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline with 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment within Engineering, Quality, Operations or materials management; Or an Advanced Degree and less than a year of experience working in a manufacturing environment within Engineering, Quality, Operations or materials management
- Experience reading and/or interpreting engine manuals or technical orders (USAF TO or TCTO) (preferred)
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (preferred)
- Experience in SAP or equivalent materials resource planning (MRP) system (preferred)
- Experience in Solumina G8 or equivalent manufacturing execution system (MES) (preferred)
- Experience in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) for aircraft engine or the aerospace field (preferred)
