About the role
- Coordinate all electrical and mechanical activities required to support the Naval Shipboard Combat System for the NATO Seasparrow Program
- Support all Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) for NATO Seasparrow used for US Fleet support, software development, production support and new product development
- Support and maintain (repair, preventative maintenance, upgrade systems and new development) of the evolved Seasparrow Missile (ESSM) and associated Vertical Launch Systems (VLS)
- Maintain Calibration of Test Equipment used by NATO Seasparrow
- Handle shipping documentation and receiving material in and out of the Land Base Test Site (LBTS)
- GFE inventory coordination with property control personnel
- Conduct quality audits
- Interface with Facilities, Security, Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) & Leadership
- Schedule & contract outside crane work & site work
- Coordinate with Facilities regarding infrastructure work at the LBTS (electrical, plumbing & site work)
- Travel CONUS/OCONUS approximately 20%
Requirements
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship required
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred)
- Minimum of 6 years of prior engineering experience
- May use experience in lieu of education
- Experience with Naval Shipboard Combat Systems and Radars
- Preferably MK57 NATO Seasparrow Surface Missile System or MK99 AEGIS
- Experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of US Navy Combat Systems and Radars (preferred)
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to align priorities appropriately
- Travel CONUS/OCONUS approximately 20%
