About the role

  • Participate in collaborative, cross-discipline integrated product teams composed of systems, software, test, and mission engineering.
  • Testing mission autonomy software and integrating simulation equipment into the Software-in-the-Loop (SWIL) and/ Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) setups.
  • Debugging mission autonomy software as part of the integration team.
  • Integrating, testing, verifying, and validating the system and various subsystems.
  • Travel to customer test events to support operations.
  • Assist with equipment setup at test sites and during customer test events.
  • Assist Flight Test Engineers on a variety of operational tasks such as flight execution, material prep, or supporting test profiles by participating in our demonstrations.
  • Support preflight system performance assessment and post flight verification analyses.
  • Be able to travel occasionally to support working groups, integration and test, and/or customer events (up to 40% travel).

Requirements

  • Experience integrating HW and SW; OR experience with SWIL /and HWIL.
  • Typically requires 5+ years of work-related experience with Systems/Software Engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting integration and tests (I&T) activities of complex systems, including distributed software systems.
  • Experience in technical writing (e.g., System Engineering Management Plans, Technical reports, Engineering notebooks, Test Plans/Reports, etc.).
  • Experience in software development using C, C++, Python, or similar programming languages.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
