About the role
- Manage all proposal efforts from cradle-to-grave, understand customer Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Information (RFI), build supplier relationships to provide and adjudicate timely quotes, build Material Cost Summary (MCS) with supporting documents for compliance and audit purposes, and present Gate 4 proposal strategy and activities to program and supply chain leadership teams
- Develop and execute the Supply Chain Program Strategy and Material Program Plan
- Advise the program management office and leadership team on those strategies and progress
- Guide multiple functions on developing Supplier Statement of Work (SSOWs) and ensuring adherence to RTX policies
- Plan and execute supplier and subcontractor negotiations and performance management
- Generate supplier risk and opportunity management plans, including Six Sigma activities
- Support leadership reviews, including Gate Reviews, Monthly Operations Reviews, Program Reviews, and Customer Reviews
- Represent the Supply Chain organization on policies, strategies, and objectives. Serve as the liaison between the Program Executive, Program Managers, IPTs and the Supply Chain organization
- Oversee all SCM activities needed to meet program requirements, and ensuring a strong link within and between various Supply Chain functions, including Sourcing, Logistics, and Production Control
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to create a common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- Experience utilizing manufacturing or enterprise planning tools such as SAP or PRISM
- Experience leading or participating in a project or cross-functional teams
- Material Program Management (MPM) Certification required within one (1) year in the role
- Prior work experience in the Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
