About the role

  • Collaborate with the Business Unit (BU) global trade and customs leads to develop and coordinate an overall approach for customs operations processes across multiple BUs
  • Support the design of a customs operations approach that enables RTX to operate with more common, collaborative, and interoperable processes & systems
  • Drive alignment across customs areas, including appropriate connectivity to upstream and downstream processes to achieve the overall oneRTX: PST objective
  • Influence key decision-makers on critical system design choices for customs operations
  • Engage with RTX’s system integration partner, supporting system blueprint and design sessions to ensure customs operations processes are fully integrated with broader systems and tools
  • Partner with RTX Business Units, Enterprise Services and Corporate Functions on development of future state process improvements
  • Travel ~ 25%-40%, primarily to Richardson, TX and other major RTX US sites (Farmington, CT; Cedar Rapids, IA; and Charlotte, NC)

Requirements

  • Minimum 12+ years' relevant experience in U.S. Customs
  • A degree in Business Administration, Technology or related discipline or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. and International Government Global Trade / Customs laws and regulations, policies, processes, and programs
  • Experience with SAP
  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Licensed Customs Broker
