About the role
- Design and develop functional system architecture for engine control systems
- Collaborate in a team environment to define major components and subsystems using physics-based models
- Develop detailed functional schematics, concept layouts, sketches, and preliminary component details
- Develop, manage, and communicate system requirements to the integrated product team
- Investigate design factors and conduct trade studies to identify optimal solutions to meet customer requirements
- Support testing for systems, subsystems, and components
- Support design verification and certification tests, post-process and analyze test results in relation to design specifications and objectives
Requirements
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship is required
- DoD Clearance: Secret
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, systems, or aerospace engineering is preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Coding (VBA, Python, or similar) experience
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in the aerospace industry
