About the role
- Establish and implement critical sourcing strategies for parcel logistics aligned with enterprise supply chain objectives
- Own and continuously improve the company’s parcel purchasing activities, driving innovation and operational excellence
- Develop and execute 2–3 year strategic plans addressing capacity, production location decisions, and global distribution networks
- Direct supplier selection based on total value (price, quality, service, support, reliability, reputation)
- Lead complex negotiations and renegotiations with parcel carriers, LLPs, and freight audit providers to secure optimal terms
- Administer contracts and ensure compliance with service-level agreements and performance standards
- Oversee sourcing and ongoing management of Lead Logistics Providers and freight bill/audit service providers
- Partner with internal stakeholders across operations, finance, and commercial teams to identify sourcing needs and opportunities
- Communicate sourcing strategies and performance outcomes to senior executive leadership and influence stakeholders
- Analyze complex, multi-dimensional logistics challenges, design solutions, and monitor market trends
- Travel approximately 20%
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing, logistics, or supply chain management
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Travel required 20%
- Proven expertise in domestic and international parcel sourcing, LLP management, and freight audit provider sourcing (preferred)
- Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in Supply Chain/Logistics) (preferred)
- Familiarity with parcel carrier operations, LLP frameworks, freight audit systems, and performance metrics (preferred)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with experience briefing senior leadership
- Experience in a global manufacturing or aerospace environment (preferred)
