About the role

You will work with the other disciplines of the Integrated Product Team (IPT) including project, Thermal and Structural analysis and electrical design. Projects include support of cockpit displays, flight controls, air management systems, military avionics as well as a variety of other avionics equipment. Tasks will vary, but may include clean sheet design, delivering development hardware, facilitating the delivery of production hardware, processing engineering changes to the production configuration, and support of fielded engines. Resolution of mechanical, thermal or structural problems of difficult and complex scope, seeking a balanced system solution, ensuring engineering excellence. Generate development hardware designs that meet objectives and facilitate the delivery of the hardware on schedule. Process technically sound engineering changes within schedule that meet performance metrics. Utilize standard work and CORE/ACE tools to continuously improve the design process.

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. Have demonstrated problem solving skills and an understanding of engineering principles Direct experience with thermal, structural and electronic packaging Understanding hardware and manufacturing methods Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting. Ability to clearly and concisely communication to all levels of the organization. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a consistent record of collaboration, innovation, and initiative.
