About the role
- Participate in mechanical design, test, and troubleshooting of various types of sensors for the aviation industry
- Assist in developing data and create layouts, sketches, and notes for design proposals
- Investigate design factors such as ease of manufacture, material/equipment availability, interchangeability, strength-weight efficiency, contractual requirements, and cost
- Assist in designing, developing, and testing metallic or non-metallic structures or materials and related fabrication processes
- Support design of new products and support current manufacturing operations
- Learn design of major components/functional systems using computer design and engineering systems and present technical information
Requirements
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined in the posting
- Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering preferred with strong academic record
- Interest in circuit design, testing, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of analog design is a plus
- Must be commutable to Burnsville, MN to work an onsite schedule
