About the role
- Support the build, maintenance, and operation of robotic platforms and modified vehicles
- Install and integrate sensors, compute modules, wiring harnesses, and other custom hardware
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on robotic systems and vehicle platforms
- Perform preventative maintenance, retrofits, and hardware updates as needed
- Support field deployments by providing on-site service, troubleshooting, and hardware swaps
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support testing and prototyping
- Maintain tools, inventory, and clear documentation of repairs and procedures
Requirements
- Experience in automotive service, automotive retrofit, robotics, or a similar technical field
- Proficient with mechanical and electrical tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read and follow mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Comfortable working with AC/DC systems, connectors, and electronic modules
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in field environments
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
- Team player with strong communication skills and adaptability
- Nice to Have: Experience with electric vehicles, autonomous systems, or sensor installation
- Nice to Have: Soldering, crimping, or basic prototyping skills
