About the role

  • Delivering winning bids for the energy sector in England and Wales
  • Lead on complex or JV bids with clear communication lines
  • Ensure agreement in place for Joint Venture bids
  • Establish bid resource needs prior to commencing
  • Drive and energise the bid team to achieve successful outcomes for tenders
  • Manage tender programme and internal meetings
  • Agree bid budget and monitor expenditure
  • Communicate/share bid strategy with the bid team
  • Oversee production of stage‑gate documentation

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of the UK Construction market
  • Good communication skills
  • Degree, HND in Civil Engineering or NVQ equivalent level (desirable)
  • Successful experience in Civil Engineering to Project/ Contract Manager level (desirable)
  • Bid Management training/ qualification (Shipley/ APMP or equivalent) (desirable)
  • Professionally qualified to Chartered Engineer or equivalent level (desirable)
