Program Specialist

• Support ISE team visions at school sites for network initiatives and school priorities in collaboration with school leaders and directors of schools.
• Regularly meet with school leaders to develop, monitor, and adjust school-level special education instructional and compliance efforts.
• Co-develop and support the coaching plans for ISE teachers and ISE teams with the support of the managing school leader.
• Provide direct and indirect coaching support to ISE teams around instructional practice and compliance initiatives.
• Strategize together as a team with the Director of Integrated Special Education in order to prioritize special education supports.
• Collaborate and provide regular consultation with service providers and key contractors as needed.
• Coordination with OSSE & PCSB around educational best practices, compliance initiatives, and or three ligious cases to support school sites.
• Work with ISE NeST across regions to align on network priorities and implementation.
• Provide School Leaders Managing ISE with resources and expert guidance to support the data based decision making process to guide instructional planning.
• Support effective instructional planning through the selection of appropriate tiered interventions at school sites, consultation on implementation and planning, as well as the development of effective service schedules.
• Provide core instructional resources to school leaders and teachers to support student outcomes.
• Observe and provide feedback on teacher instruction execution.
• Support school leaders and teachers with effective co-teaching practices.
• Lead ISE Walkthroughs with School and Regional Leaders.
• Oversee and support staff member skill in IEP development and meeting facilitation.
• Serve as special education “compliance expert” and provide consultation on compliance-related questions and concerns, create compliance systems and structures to support campuses and coaching scope and sequence.
• Participate in recurring compliance walk-throughs at school sites.
• Use compliance indicators to create department action plans to remediate.
• Support the development of regional and school-based professional development plans to support staff.
• Co-create and facilitate professional development opportunities on campuses.
• Build and maintain Rocketship’s professional development library in collaboration with key ISE team members.

Program Specialist – Integrated Special Education

Recruitment

• Canvass within recruitment areas specified by the recruitment plan you are helping to execute; includes but is not limited to knocking on doors, making contact with local community groups and businesses, and handing out pamphlets to prospective families at events/high traffic locations
• Make phone calls to new and prospective families
• Track recruitment work in target area to ensure all potential families are contacted
• Plan and market informational events for prospective families
• Support new and existing schools in enrollment
• Provide feedback to inform continued refinement of recruitment plans
• Analyze recruitment trends and data to create metric-driven strategy around new family engagement that meets recruitment and enrollment goal
• Engage external stakeholders with a focus on building new partnerships that will support the work of communicating educational options to families in the communities we serve
• Foster relationships and develop champions with community based organizations, faith leaders, elected officials, civic and community leaders that lead to positive engagement of the community and neighborhoods where Rocketship has and will have a presence
• Maintain, organize, and manage recruitment communications with interested families and applicants, including email, voicemail, Rocketship’s website, and social media
• Coordinate student application data entry and support of central efforts to ensure lottery system
• Partner with founding principal to provide planning, training, and direct allocation of staff time/resources around family engagement and enrollment
• Support school leadership in developing plans for ongoing family engagement and events for building school community
• Cultivate external relationships with other community-based schools and nonprofits
• Work with community partners to identify family and whole child support resources
• Manage early family engagement with founding families to facilitate school-based decisions

Family Recruitment Specialist

Manager

• Maintain and support the day-to-day operations of the HRIS (Workday), ensuring data accuracy and integrity
• Support team leadership in developing, supporting, and maintaining the Workday roadmap by analyzing system capabilities, identifying business needs, and recommending enhancements that align with Rocketship’s goals
• Lead the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of system updates and enhancements in the HRIS, translating business requirements and priorities into scalable, efficient, and compliant system solutions
• Develop presentations and engage with Rocketship senior leadership to gather input and advance our HRIS and talent systems strategy and implementation
• Serve as the point of contact for HRIS-related inquiries, troubleshooting issues and liaising with vendors as needed
• Generate reports and dashboards to support Talent Team and Rocketship initiatives, audits, and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with HR team members and other departments to streamline organization processes through automation and improved system use
• Ensure data privacy and security compliance in accordance with organizational policies and legal requirements
• Develop and provide training and documentation to HR staff and system users
• Monitor and analyze trends in HRIS technology to recommend system enhancements

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for instructional roles with a focus on hard-to-fill positions.
• Conduct resume screens, phone interviews, and candidate assessments.
• Facilitate selection events and hiring fairs to connect strong candidates with hiring managers.
• Provide data and insights to support informed hiring decisions and problem-solve barriers to filling roles.
