About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Maintain and support the day-to-day operations of the HRIS (Workday), ensuring data accuracy and integrity
Support team leadership in developing, supporting, and maintaining the Workday roadmap by analyzing system capabilities, identifying business needs, and recommending enhancements that align with Rocketship’s goals
Lead the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of system updates and enhancements in the HRIS, translating business requirements and priorities into scalable, efficient, and compliant system solutions
Develop presentations and engage with Rocketship senior leadership to gather input and advance our HRIS and talent systems strategy and implementation
Serve as the point of contact for HRIS-related inquiries, troubleshooting issues and liaising with vendors as needed
Generate reports and dashboards to support Talent Team and Rocketship initiatives, audits, and compliance requirements
Collaborate with HR team members and other departments to streamline organization processes through automation and improved system use
Ensure data privacy and security compliance in accordance with organizational policies and legal requirements
Develop and provide training and documentation to HR staff and system users
Monitor and analyze trends in HRIS technology to recommend system enhancements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
5-7+ years of recent, progressive experience in HRIS-related fields
Workday Pro HCM core certification
At least 3 years of experience with direct Workday configuration and administration
Proven experience leading Workday modules such as HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Performance, Benefits, Integrations, and/or Advanced Reporting
Demonstrated success in leading system implementations, roadmap design, upgrades, and process improvement initiatives in Workday
Strong knowledge of HR processes, compliance requirements, and data governance best practices
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to design, troubleshoot, and optimize reports and dashboards
Strong project management skills with experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and integrity
