About the role

  • Conduct end-to-end fraud investigations of accounts with concerns of fraud to protect customers and minimize firm exposure
  • Review and investigate suspected fraudulent alerts that are proactive and reactive in nature using multiple internal and external tools
  • Use data analysis techniques, critical thinking, and pattern detection to identify emerging fraud
  • Recognize and actively communicate emerging fraud trends and detection methodologies
  • Document rationale and determinations for alerts and submit referrals to other teams as necessary
  • Assist the team with coordination and prioritization of ongoing daily tasks, queue management, and ad-hoc requests
  • Occasionally communicate with customers regarding information on their account(s) related to a fraud investigation
  • Train and employ investigative skills to restore and remediate accounts to pre-fraud status

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program in Business, Accounting, Criminal Justice, Psychology or a related field with an expected graduation date in Winter 2026/Spring 2027
  • Interest in fraud investigations end-to-end process and various fraud typologies such as Account Takeovers, Identity Theft and Money Movement Fraud among others
  • Proactively identify problems and devise solutions (think outside-the-box) and independently make decisions on potentially fraudulent cases
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced environment
  • Good written and verbal communication, analytical skills, and strong attention to detail
  • Strong social skills, experience working with cross-functional teams such as product, engineering, legal, compliance, vendor partners, or financial crimes
  • Responsible for providing excellent customer service and ability to multi-task
  • In-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week (based in Denver office)
